Position Requirements

The Registered Nurse (RN) assesses patient health problems and needs, develops and implements nursing care plans, and maintains medical records. Administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. May advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management.

Location: Wilmington, NC - USA

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and possess a State Registered Nursing license.
• Knowledge of anesthesia preoperative evaluation and anesthesia care.
• Prepare patient assessment reports and forward to physicians for validation.
• Review testing results, report findings to physicians, and document in patient’s medical record.
• Assist physicians with patient visits, exams, procedures, and specimen handling.
• Schedule patients as directed by physicians.
• Provide telephone triage and document all contacts.
• Administer medications as necessary, following universal precautions, and document appropriately.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Act in a respectful, non-judgmental manner, respecting individual beliefs.
• Follow universal precautions and OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Current/valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Maintain CPR certification.
• Availability for day shift, Monday - Friday.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety hazards and precautions.
