Senior Water / Wastewater Project Manager
Join HDR as a Senior Water / Wastewater Project Manager and lead the development of contract documents within our Water Business Group across Asheville, Charlotte, Raleigh, Wilmington, or Winston‑Salem, NC.

Responsibilities- Direct and coordinate the work of single or multidisciplinary teams throughout the project’s lifecycle, from development and initiation to close‑out.
- Be responsible for all aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium‑sized projects with high technical complexity, involving a large project staff.
- Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently.
- Establish and maintain client relations and be involved in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings.
- Conduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with staff and stakeholders.
- Coordinate staffing and workload throughout the project life cycle, ensuring completion of deliverables on schedule.
- Track financial aspects of projects and adjust work effort to keep within budget and schedule parameters.
- Work with Accounting, Operations, and Business leadership for periodic project reviews.
- Implement QA/QC procedures.
- Supervise large project staffs and mentor less‑experienced Project Managers.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- PMP certification.
- Local candidates are preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 10 years of related experience.
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
- Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (e.g., PE or P.Eng.).
- MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience is a plus).
- Demonstrated leadership, business development, and strategic planning skills.
- Commitment to participating in HDR’s employee‑owned culture is a must.
