Job Description
The CVOR Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in the cardiovascular operating room setting. The nurse will support a team of healthcare professionals during surgeries and will be responsible for maintaining the sterile field, assisting with equipment, and ensuring patient safety throughout the surgical process.
Responsibilities

• Perform scrub duties during cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries.

• Assist in a variety of surgical procedures, including CABG, AVR, MVR, and TAVR.

• Float to the main OR if necessary due to volume.

• Participate in call requirements as scheduled, including every third weekend.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.

• 1 year of CVOR experience required only if the candidate has 1 year of main OR experience; otherwise, 1 year of CVOR experience is necessary.

• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.

• Proficiency in scrubbing cardiac cases preferred.

• Preferred experience with Trauma Level I cases.
