Overview
The Substance Abuse Counselor (LCAS, LCAS-A, CCS) provides confidential addiction counseling, education, and support to individuals, families, and the community to promote healthy lifestyles and choices.
Responsibilities- Conduct clinical assessments, identify appropriate treatment options, assist with funding, and offer individual, family, and group counseling on addiction issues.
- Educate high-risk populations and collaborate with community resources to enhance services.
- Develop treatment plans, maintain accurate records, ensure confidentiality, and work within legal and organizational guidelines.
- Knowledge of ASAM criteria and completion of necessary certifications.
- Licensing/certification is required.
- Experience in substance use disorders (SUD) is preferred.
- Work is in person; COVID-19 safety measures are in place.
