Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Details:

• Work 10-hour day shifts from 6:15 AM to 4:45 PM, 4 days per week Monday through Friday

• Maintain 1:1 patient ratios

• On-call requirements include 2 days per week and every third weekend, averaging 14 call days per 6-week schedule

• May work 5 days if called in on weekend, but cannot work more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week

• Float to main OR on same campus when no volume in CVOR

• Must have minimum 2 years of experience with CVOR, ECMO, and Impella experience required

• Required certifications: BLS; preferred certifications: ACLS

• Level 1 trauma experience preferred

• Scrubbing cardiac cases proficiency preferred but not required

• Epic charting system experience preferred

• Must be comfortable with CABG, AVR, MVR, TVR, Aortic Dissection, TAVR, laser lead extractions, aortic root procedures, carotids, thoracic cases, pericardial windows, ECMO, and Impella

• Use Pyxis medication system, Epic documentation, and SBAR communication

• Blue scrubs provided

• 24-hour unit orientation required

• Must be assigned to Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team during catastrophic events

• NC or Compact license required

• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
