- Duties include performing test procedures, interpreting results, resolving or attempting to resolve procedural and/or instrumentation problems, communicating information for clinical use, and preparing lab for CLIA inspection along with Lab Director.
- This position will interact primarily with patients, other staff in the health center, and the lab vendor.
- Bachelor s degree in medical technology, chemistry, or a biological science; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Some positions may require compliance with current CLIA regulations. A complete knowledge of the CLIA is required.
- A minimum of one year s experience working in a lab setting is required.
- A general knowledge of basic pathophysiological processes being monitored and how medical laboratory science is applied is required.
- Excellent problem solving skills are required. Skill in the use of laboratory equipment and the performance of procedures is required.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families and colleagues.
- A minimum of one year s experience working in a lab setting is required; 3 years is preferred.
- Previous experience in college health or a clinic-based lab is preferred.
- ASCP Certification is preferred.
- Bachelor s degree in medical technology, chemistry, or a biological science; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Some positions may require compliance with current CLIA regulations. A complete knowledge of the CLIA is required.
- A minimum of one year s experience working in a lab setting is required.
