** Card Works, Inc. is a diversified consumer finance service provider and parent company of Card Works Servicing, LLC, Merrick Bank and Carson Smithfield, LLC.Card Works Servicing, LLC provides end-to end operational servicing functions for credit cards, secured cards, and installment loans. We service consumer and small business loans across the credit spectrum and offers backup servicing and due diligence services to capital providers and trustees.

Merrick Bank is an FDIC-insured Utah Industrial Loan Bank.  Merrick operates three main business lines:  credit cards, recreational lending, and merchant services.

Carson Smithfield, LLC provides a variety of post-charge-off debt recovery services, including digital self-service, IVR, live agent, and external agency management.

* Essential Functions:

**** Compliance with Laws & Regulations:
*** Responsible for complying with all of the Bank’s internal control policies and procedures.
* Responsible for understanding and complying with all laws and regulations to which the Bank is subject.
* Responsible for communicating problems in operations, noncompliance with the code of conduct, noncompliance with laws and regulations, policy violations, or illegal acts.
*
* Education and Experience:

*** Bachelor’s degree in an analytical discipline such as math, finance, statistics, computer science, economics, engineering, or a hard science is required.
* Higher level education such as a Master's degree, or certifications in a science, technology, engineering, or math field is desirable.
* Typically requires five (5) years of credit card experience in a strategic, quantitative problem-solving role.
** Summary of

Qualifications:

*** Banking, financial services, and/or analytical data experience are highly preferred.
* Proven ability to work with large data sets with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. SQL is a requirement and Python, R, Shiny, SAS, Tableau or other data analysis tools are also highly preferred.
* Analytical rigor and autonomous problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize workload and balance multiple initiatives and efforts.
* Self-starter with inquisitive spirit, adept at working as part of a team of internal and external partners across business groups
* Passion for bringing ideas to life and take ownership for strategy and execution
* Excellent problem solving, communication, verbal/written presentation skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
** Work Environment/Physical Demands:

** The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
