Floor Staff (Evenings, Weekends, and Holidays Required) $15/hr + Free Movies – Regal

Description

Team members are classified based on individual theatre needs and/or employee availability as either variable hour, part‑time fixed, part‑time regular or full‑time hourly employees. Their primary responsibility is ensuring guests receive exceptional service. Team members may work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher. They must act as a representative of Regal consistent with the company mission and policies, including:

  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • Handling emergency situations when called upon
  • General cleaning duties
  • Compliance with the company dress code
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Box Office
  • Operate the POS system, including accurate handling of the cash drawer, credit cards, travelers' checks, gift cards, redeemed discount-Ray‑remove; passes, and coupons
  • Up‑sell/suggestive selling of Premium Viewing Experience (3D, RPX, IMAX)
  • Promote the Regal Crown Club program
  • Ensure tickets are sold in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy
  • Respond to phone calls and questions from guests in a manner consistent with our guest‑service philosophy
Concession
  • Operate the POS system with accurate cash handling and inventory management of concession stock
  • Promote the Regal Crown Club program
  • Operate, prepare and maintain all concession‑related equipment
  • Up‑sell/suggestive selling of products
  • Comply with all local, state and federal food‑safety laws
  • Abide by all federal and state laws regarding breaks and/or meal periods
  • Ensure required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable
  • If alcohol is sold, comply with legal age and state or local sales regulations
  • Read and understand training materials covering sexual harassment and discrimination
Usher
  • Tear tickets, collect and deposit stubs, and direct patrons to their auditoriums
  • Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable
  • Manage crowd control and assist guests in finding seats when necessary
  • Enforce the MPAA rating system
  • Conduct theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, watch for theft, and help maintain a safe environment
  • Report problems, discrepancies or unusual situations to management
  • Perform in‑auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed
  • Clean auditoriums after scheduled shows and maintain restrooms, lobby area, hallways, and other areas outside the auditorium
  • Monitor the cleanliness and operation of vending equipment
  • Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned by management
Qualifications

Education/Experience

Completion of the cast certification program as a cast member and as a box‑office cashier or progress toward completion is required.

If the theatre sells alcohol and your duties include selling/serving alcohol, you must complete any legally required state or local training and obtain the required certificate, including the Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University.

Language Ability

Possess good public‑speaking skills, listen effectively, and respond clearly and directly.

Math Ability

Perform calculations with speed and accuracy and identify and correct errors.

Reasoning Ability

Identify problems, gather relevant data and note possible causes, evaluate alternatives, and reach conclusions based on evidence. Perform under pressure and/or opposition.

Personal Skills

Possess excellent communication skills Owens with customers, co‑workers and management. Set goals, budget time, and set priorities to achieve desired objectives.
