- Mechanical Engineer II – Equipment Installation
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8–10 hour days, occasional overtime
Contract Duration: 6 months with potential extension
About the RolesWe are hiring for 2 key positions to support our manufacturing projects: a Mechanical Engineer II and a Senior Mechanical Technician IV
. Both roles are hands-on and leadership-focused
, responsible for installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment
. You will work directly on the factory floor
, guiding teams and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.
- Lead or assist in equipment installation, startup, and debugging
- Coordinate and supervise technicians, contractors, and maintenance teams
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and manuals
- Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Ensure compliance with OEM specifications, safety, and quality standards
- Mentor and train junior staff
- Maintain accurate documentation including reports, checklists, and as-built drawings
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for manufacturing equipment
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 3+ years experience in manufacturing equipment installation/operation
- Knowledge of mechanical drive trains, actuators, process variables, and piping systems
- Associate degree (or High School with strong hands-on experience)
- 3+ years experience in equipment installation
- Skilled in rigging, leveling, precision alignment, torqueing, piping, and mechanical integration
- Experience troubleshooting pumps, motors, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Leadership and mentoring abilities
- Strong safety focus
- Experience in fast-paced, multi-project manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with CAD, SAP, Maximo, or CMMS systems
