This role focuses on thermal-hydraulic stability, reactor behavior evaluation, and analytical support for operating plants as well as next-generation reactor technologies deployed globally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thermal-hydraulic stability analyses, reactor noise evaluations, and monitoring interface assessments using established two-phase flow and reactor physics methodologies
  • Execute safety and performance analyses supporting core reload activities, fuel design implementation, and operational evaluations
  • Support the introduction of new fuel designs, stability methods application, and resolution of emergent technical issues
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, systems, and regulatory stakeholders to deliver optimized technical solutions
  • Prepare, document, and present high-quality technical reports and analytical findings for internal and external audiences
  • Provide technical mentorship and contribute to knowledge management, procedural development, and best-practice adherence
  • Develop and deliver technical training materials for internal capability building and external engagements
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on analytical efficiency, process simplification, and quality enhancement
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable regulatory standards, quality assurance requirements, and customer expectations
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (e.g., Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical, or related field) from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in thermal-hydraulic stability analysis or reactor safety analysis
  • Demonstrated understanding of two-phase thermal-hydraulic principles and reactor system behavior
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (M.S. or higher) in Nuclear Engineering or related field
  • Experience with reactor stability methodologies, frequency and time-domain analysis techniques
  • Familiarity with reactor monitoring systems, stability setpoint methodologies, and operational support activities
  • Working knowledge of reactor licensing frameworks and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Experience using reactor simulation tools and 3-D neutron kinetics modeling
  • Experience with industry-standard thermal-hydraulic system codes
  • Background in best-estimate methodologies and uncertainty evaluation approaches
  • Programming or scripting experience (e.g., Python, C#, FORTRAN)
