At Global Laser Enrichment (GLE), we are advancing next-generation uranium enrichment technology through disciplined execution, technical excellence, and an uncompromising commitment to safety. We are seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Integration Engineer to support the installation, integration, and commissioning of critical electrical and control systems in a highly regulated environment.
Reporting to the Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls Engineering Manager and working closely with engineering, operations, and field teams, this role is ideal for a hands-on technical professional who thrives in field execution, system integration, and commissioning activities.
What You’ll Do Electrical & I&C Integration- Assist with the integration of electrical power and I&C systems, including field instrumentation, control panels, and automation systems
- Support installation, wiring, and termination of electrical and I&C equipment such as MCCs, control panels, PLC cabinets, and field devices
- Read, interpret, and mark up electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, and schematics
- Perform loop checks, point-to-point checks, and functional testing
- Support commissioning and startup activities, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and Site Acceptance Tests (SATs)
- Assist with troubleshooting electrical, instrumentation, and control system issues during construction, commissioning, and operations
- Coordinate with electricians, equipment operators, engineers, and vendors to resolve integration issues
- Support system integration efforts to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operation
- Follow GLE procedures and support compliance with electrical, process, and site safety requirements
- Maintain compliance with all GLE safety requirements and procedures
- Immediately report any safety or environmental incidents, unsafe conditions, or near misses
- Adhere to environmental policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Perform safety and risk assessment duties as assigned by management
- Active DOE/NRC Q-Clearance or equivalent or eligible
- Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent training in Electrical Engineering Technology, Instrumentation & Controls, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in electrical and/or I&C technician or integration roles within industrial, energy, or infrastructure environments
- Working knowledge of electrical distribution systems and industrial control systems
- Experience with field instrumentation and signal types (analog, digital, HART)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to safety and quality
Due to the sensitive nature of our work, U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE/NRC Q-Clearance, as well as ongoing site access, are required.
