Staffing - Drafting​/CAD Technician II

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a CAD Technician for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Wilmington, NC
. Details for the position are as follows:

Pay: $30-$32/hr

Shift: Hybrid – 3 days remote, 2 days onsite (approx. 45 hours a week)

Duration: 12-months to start – potential to extend or convert based on performance and budget

As a member of a global drafting department – you will assist in the creation, revision, and storage of electronic drawing files (Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD) for custom designed process equipment located in numerous worldwide manufacturing locations.

• Correct redlined models/drawings issued by drafting lead or engineering/development teams
• Convert legacy hand drawn and AutoCAD drawings into 3D models and associative drawings
• Create 2D drawings from existing 3D models from other users
• Collect data from engineering teams and incorporate information into appropriate drawing
• Collect measurements/information from production floor to incorporate into drawings

Please note: this is not a design position.

High School Diploma or equivalent required (associates or certification preferred
).

2+ years of mechanical drafting experience required

Must have experience with systems and/or assemblies, not just parts.

Working knowledge of ASME/ANSI drafting standards required
.

2D and 3D experience is required
.

Inventor experience is preferred
, second best is AutoCAD.

Autodesk Vault or PDM is preferred but any management system is required
