Description

The Mechanical Drafting/CAD Technician II supports a global drafting team by creating, revising, and maintaining electronic drawings for custom-designed process equipment used in worldwide manufacturing facilities. This role focuses on drafting execution and standards compliance using Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault. No new design work is included.

• Update and correct redlined drawings from drafting leads and engineering teams
• Convert legacy hand-drawn and AutoCAD files into 3D models and associative drawings
• Create 2D drawings from existing 3D models
• Incorporate engineering data and production floor measurements into drawings
• Ensure all drawings meet company and ASME/ANSI drafting standards

• A.A.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology, A.O.S. in Drafting/CAD, or Drafting Certificate preferred
• Candidates without degrees must demonstrate strong 2D and 3D drafting proficiency

• 2+ years of professional mechanical drafting experience
• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault
• Working knowledge of ASME/ANSI standards
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow drafting standards
• General Windows-based computer skills

• W2 contract through CTG; no C2C or third-party vendors
• Initial 1-year contract with potential extensions
• Hybrid schedule available (3–4 days remote)
• Overtime frequently required (target ~45 hours/week)
