Description
Regional based Land Surveying & Geomatics leader is seeking an established yet emerging Land Surveyor to join their team. Ideal prospect will have started in the field 5-10+ years prior and worked his/her way through the ranks. Alternatively, formal education (e.g. Bachelors, Associates) paired with experience will also be considered.
Individual will be supporting a variety of projects and impacting DOT, Energy, Private Development & other large scale projects throughout the Carolinas.
Day to Day looks like …
- Leading Project Teams and communicating with clients, developers, city leaders, public dept. leaders, etc. Ideally, individual has been in a Project Management capacity (at least 3 years)
- Experience in estimating surveying services
- Managing project budgets and schedules
- Monthly project invoicing
- Technical experience in planning, computing, and reporting survey control for projects using GNSS and conventional surveying methods.
- Experience in computing alignments and boundary surveys for energy and transportation projects
- Ability to work with and train staff surveyors to complete task assignments
- Construction computations would be a plus but not a requirement
- The candidate should be organized and confident to manage task assignments, both administratively and technically, with a strong quality control mindset
- Ability to interact with and service clients to promote new work and support them on existing projects
- Experience with SCDOT, NCDOT and Duke Energy is a plus, but not a requirement
- Experience and familiarity with Leica Infinity is a plus.
The position does not require a specific sales quota or business development goals, but the surveyor should be able to promote our services
Participation in professional surveying and engineering organizations would be a strong benefit for this role. Having a strong network of surveys would allow recruitment of new talent and staff building
Position does not require previous experience with laser scanning, drones or aerial surveys, but is a great opportunity to work with these advanced systems that we offer to our clients

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
