The Department of English at the University of North Carolina Wilmington invites applications for a lecturer in English to begin August 2026. This nine‑month non‑tenure track position carries a 4/4 teaching load, primarily in composition but with occasional opportunities to teach other general education courses. The successful candidate will have significant experience teaching composition and be ready to contribute to a dynamic and innovative program.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements- MA in English or a related field (e.g., rhetoric, professional writing, journalism, linguistics) at time of application
- Significant experience teaching composition at the post‑secondary level
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to a dynamic and innovative composition program
- Experience teaching both in person and online
