Overview
The Management Department at the University of North Carolina Wilmington invites applications for one full-time lecturer (non-tenure track) faculty position in Management beginning Fall 2026. The successful candidate will teach eight courses in competitive/integrative/management strategy and organizational leadership/change, contribute to other core disciplines within the management curriculum as departmental needs evolve, participate in departmental and student activities, provide departmental and university service, and engage in community outreach to expand visibility and student enrollment and participation in the program.
The position requires maintaining professional qualification through engagement, research, or other means.
- A master’s degree from an AACSB-accredited institution in management, strategic management, or a closely related field at the time of application.
- 3+ years of successful teaching at the university level in management, strategy, or related disciplines.
- 3+ years of professional experience in management, strategy, leadership, or a related field.
- 5+ years of industry/field experience in management, strategy, leadership, or a closely related field.
- Evidence of successful university-level teaching across multiple modalities (in-person, hybrid, online).
- Demonstrated interest in leading student-centered activities.
- Preference given to candidates with a terminal degree from an AACSB-accredited Business School.
- Demonstrated experience teaching across multiple modalities.
The successful candidate will teach eight courses in management-related areas and will be able to contribute to other core disciplines within the management curriculum as departmental needs evolve. The candidate will also participate in departmental and student activities, provide departmental and university service, and engage in community outreach to expand visibility and student enrollment and participation in the program.
Other Requirements and DetailsBefore official appointment, candidates must demonstrate eligibility to teach assigned courses by meeting credentialing requirements based on official transcripts and other required documentation.
Required documents include a letter of application addressed to the Lecturer of Management Faculty Search Committee, a complete curriculum vitae, evidence of professional leadership and applied scholarship, evidence of teaching effectiveness at the university level, and a minimum of three professional references.
