The Department of Anthropology invites applications for a nine‑month, non‑tenure track lecturer position beginning August 2026. The appointment carries a teaching load of four courses per semester and is renewable contingent upon satisfactory performance, departmental needs, and availability of funding.
Responsibilities- Teach four courses per semester, including Intro to Anthropology, Intro to Cultural Anthropology, Language and Culture, and upper‑level courses in the instructor’s area of expertise.
- Participate in department meetings, assist in organizing department events, and serve on committees.
- Ph.D. in Anthropology required; ABD candidates considered if doctoral degree conferred by August 1, 2026.
- Strong record of teaching or potential to teach anthropological theory, ethnographic methods, and career‑readiness courses.
- Ability to teach the core courses listed above.
- Cover Letter describing teaching experience and research scholarship.

- List of three professional references (one for ABD candidates must be Dissertation Chair).
- For ABD candidates:
Letter from dissertation chair attesting ability to defend dissertation by beginning of summer 2026 and to meet terminal degree requirements by August 1, 2026.
