Overview
The Management Department at the University of North Carolina Wilmington invites applications for one full‑time lecturer (non‑tenure track) faculty position in Management beginning Fall 2026. The successful candidate will teach eight courses in competitive, integrative, and strategic management and organizational leadership and change, and will also be able to contribute to other core disciplines within the management curriculum as departmental needs evolve.
The candidate will participate in departmental and student activities, provide departmental and university service, and engage in community outreach to expand our visibility and student enrollment. This position will be expected to maintain professional qualification through either professional engagement, research, or other means.
- A master's degree from an AACSB‑accredited institution in management, strategic management, or a closely related field at the time of application.
- Candidates must have evidence of 3+ years of successful teaching at the university level in management, strategy, and/or related management disciplines.
- Candidates must have 3+ years professional experience in management, strategy, leadership, or a related field.
- Preferred: 5 or more years of industry/field experience in management, strategy, leadership, or a closely related field.
- Evidence of successful teaching at the university level and across multiple modalities (in‑person, hybrid, online).
- Demonstrated interest in leading student‑centered activities.
- Preference given to candidates with a terminal degree from an AACSB‑accredited Business School.
A letter of application should be addressed to the Lecturer of Management Faculty Search Committee, along with a complete curriculum vitae, evidence of professional leadership and applied scholarship, and evidence of teaching effectiveness at the university level. Please note that a minimum of three professional references is required for all applications. Prior to the official appointment to the university, the candidate(s) selected for hire must be able to demonstrate eligibility to teach assigned courses by successfully meeting the credentialing requirements based on official transcripts and other documentation as required.
