CONCIERGE - CAROLINA BAY AT AUTUMN HALL

Job Summary- Due to the nature of the job, a high degree of confidentiality is expected.
- Answer phones and route calls to the appropriate person or department.
- Ensure all incoming visitors sign in via kiosk.
- Call resident apartment to announce visitor before sending visitor to apartment.
- Enter work orders for housekeeping, pest control, and/or maintenance issues as called in or requested by residents, staff, and/or guests.
- Accept packages, monitor for postal delivery, and collect them. Call residents who have received packages or deliveries.
- Inform immediately the Executive Director and other department heads when officials enter the building (e.g., Health Department, Department of Insurance, Fire Marshal, etc.).
- Understand how to initiate assistance from local medical professionals (police, EMT, etc.) (911).
- Know the building layout and assist emergency services in locating resident units in the event of an emergency.
- Have working knowledge of fire alarm panel and direct resident response in the event of an emergency.
- Receive and deliver flowers and initiate a call to the appropriate person as soon as possible.
- Assist individuals who complete applications and direct them to the appropriate department head.
- Meet and greet all new residents.
- Assist visitors, families and employees as needed.
- In case of a fire, be familiar with the Fire Plan, participate in fire response, and follow all policies and procedures.
- If working evenings, follow security procedures to secure the building, which requires extensive walking throughout the building/community several times a shift.
- If working overnight, make rounds throughout common areas to ensure building security and resident safety.
- Deliver newspapers to resident doors throughout the building.
- If working a day shift, complete resident daily check‑in at 10 a.m., which may require visits to the resident’s apartment for verification.
- Respond to resident emergency calls as they occur.
- Be available to assist before, during, and after any type of disaster.
- Have computer and critical‑thinking skills.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Must be a high‑school graduate.
- Must be a team player with a positive and considerate attitude.
- Must be organized and able to handle multiple tasks at one time.
- Must have knowledge of computers.
- Must be able to work well under pressure.
- Must be able to problem‑solve.
- Must be willing to perform various functions.
- Must read, know, follow, and explain personnel, department, and facility policies as they pertain to the business office.
- Must be able to be cheerful and represent a positive, professional first impression at all times.
