Resident Construction Inspector (Water/Wastewater)
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Resident Construction Inspector — Water/Wastewater — to support a major project beginning in early 2026 in Wilmington, NC.
Responsibilities- Oversee construction personnel working on a medium‑sized area of the construction site.
- Ensure construction work matches construction plans.
- Identify deficiencies in constructed structures.
- Review contract terms and conditions.
- Ensure construction timelines, costs, and materials comply with contract terms and conditions.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff.
- Review the work of junior staff.
- Document deficiencies, expected cost overruns, material issues, and any other related construction risks.
- Prepare related reports (e.g., monthly progress reports).
- Maintain a daily report of construction activities.
- Communicate construction issues to project leadership and escalations to appropriate design staff for resolution.
- Communicate issue resolution to construction staff and close the loop with project leadership.
- Perform other duties as required.
- High School diploma or Vocational Technical degree or equivalent.
- 12 years of related experience.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
- Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
