Resident Construction Inspector (Water/Wastewater)

We are seeking a Resident Construction Inspector — Water/Wastewater — to support a major project beginning in early 2026 in Wilmington, NC.

• Oversee construction personnel working on a medium‑sized area of the construction site.
• Ensure construction work matches construction plans.
• Identify deficiencies in constructed structures.
• Review contract terms and conditions.
• Ensure construction timelines, costs, and materials comply with contract terms and conditions.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff.
• Review the work of junior staff.
• Document deficiencies, expected cost overruns, material issues, and any other related construction risks.
• Prepare related reports (e.g., monthly progress reports).
• Maintain a daily report of construction activities.
• Communicate construction issues to project leadership and escalations to appropriate design staff for resolution.
• Communicate issue resolution to construction staff and close the loop with project leadership.
• Perform other duties as required.

• High School diploma or Vocational Technical degree or equivalent.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
