Description
Children's Cottage of Wilmington is a licensed childcare center seeking Assistant Teachers for the following age groups:
- Preschool
QUALIFIED candidates have a high school diploma or GED and the ability to pass all background checks. A plus if you have previous childcare experience!
Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm
Compensation: $14-$16/hr; based on education and experience
Responsibilities- Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
- Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
- Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the program.
- Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
- Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
- Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
High school diploma or GED required. Ability to pass all background checks. Prior childcare experience is a plus.
