Job Description Summary
Responsible for developing and issuing RFQs to support the necessary business units and facilitating supplier engagement through communication and project collaboration. Lead negotiation and management of project costs based on supplier pricing and lead times.
Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities
- Issuing RFQs:
Utilize Oracle iSupplier eRFQ tool to efficiently issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) to potential suppliers. Ensure all RFQs are accurate and comprehensive to facilitate effective supplier engagement. - Supplier Communication:
Establish and maintain a consistent communication rhythm with suppliers to ensure timely responses to RFQs. Develop strong relationships to foster cooperation and transparency. - Project
Collaboration:
Collaborate with project teams to evaluate and award contracts to the most suitable suppliers for each scope of work. Ensure that supplier selection aligns with project requirements and business objectives. - Negotiation and Cost Management:
Engage with suppliers to negotiate pricing and lead times. Push back on inflationary proposals and work towards achieving cost-effective solutions that meet budgetary constraints without impacting required delivery. - Monitor project procurement progress and milestones, ensure proper receipt of deliverables and invoice approval.
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues with suppliers by determining root cause and developing corrective action.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university
OR
- High school diploma or equivalent with 5 years of experience in supply chain or sourcing.
- Experience in the Nuclear Power Industry.
- Strong leader capable of working successfully in a matrix organization and as part of a cross-functional team to drive impactful results.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects to completion, including meeting project deadlines, with appropriate cost and schedule control.
- Working knowledge of the preparation of bid packages, analysis and evaluation of proposals, negotiation of subcontract provisions, and administration of subcontracts.
- Possess strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, as well as project and executive management.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage job responsibilities in a global environment with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated understanding of all phases of sourcing and procurement execution.
- Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills, including ability to successfully interface with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Negotiation skills (internal, across the businesses and external with suppliers) - ability to lead negotiations (price, schedule, and supplier performance).
- Demonstrated competency in creating clear and concise written documentation that fully summarizes all aspects of a procurement transaction.
The base pay range for this position is $72K - $84K USD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on 1/29/2026, or thereafter.
The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
