Brief Summary of Work for this PositionThe Director of Conferences, Events, and Reservations is responsible for several functional areas including the Conference Services unit, the Campus Life Reservation's Office, and the Campus Life Events and Technology team. The Director directly supervises three full‑time professional staff positions and indirectly supervises four other full‑time professional staff and approximately 30 student employees. The Director of Conferences, Events, and Reservations is an integral member of the Campus Life (CL) Leadership team and serves in the absence of the Executive Director in cooperation with the Director of Campus Life Facilities and Business Operations and the Director of Student Involvement and Leadership.
Responsible for facilities reservations and scheduling using the Event Management Systems (EMS) system which includes daily operations of events, reservations, scheduling, planning, and billing in all Campus Life facilities. Additional responsibilities include revenue generation and billing for both internal and external clients, and developing marketing, sales, and business plans for internal events and conference services. This position also oversees technology and event production in Campus Life spaces.
Provides overall supervision for coordination of campus‑wide, non‑course space reservations and coordinates efforts of campus space schedulers.
