Empowering Candidates and Employers I Career MatchmakerWe are seeking an Accounting Clerk with strong customer service skills to support a manufacturer in Wilmington, NC.
This role will involve processing customer orders, supporting billing and invoicing activities, and maintaining accurate records of transactions. You will act as a liaison between internal teams and external customers to ensure timely and accurate order management and account updates.
Permanent, full-time role with PTO and benefits.
Pay: $20.00 to $24.50 per hour based on experience.
Fully onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process customer orders received via phone, email, and customer portals (EDI).
- Enter and maintain accurate billing, pricing, and order data in the system.
- Support the preparation of invoices and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Respond to customer inquiries related to orders, billing, and product availability.
- Coordinate with internal departments to verify pricing, shipping schedules, and product availability.
- Maintain organized records of orders, invoices, and related communications.
- Provide accurate and timely updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-3 years of experience in a clerical, accounting, or customer service role.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
