Textron Systems is seeking a full‑time Mechanical Engineer with experience in mechanical design focused on tooling for machined or welded assemblies. The candidate should possess good communication and presentation skills and be comfortable interacting with suppliers within a multidiscipline team. The position requires experience integrating component design solutions into an overall assembly and necessitates that the candidate be a U.S. citizen with or capable of receiving a secret level security clearance.

• Design and develop tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures to support manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to ensure tool compatibility and effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in tool design and usage.
• Provide technical support and training to production teams on the proper use of tools.
• Participate in the detailed design of structural components.
• Contribute to a team responsible for development and integration of mechanical components and systems.
• Create Technical Data Packages that include 3D drawings, specifications, and materials lists for component and assembly projects in mechanical and electro‑mechanical applications.
• Prepare and direct high‑quality mechanical and electro‑mechanical detail and assembly drawings.
• Transition product design to production and test.
• Write technical and proposal documents.
• Create detailed design reports and presentations to summarize design/analysis results.

• Knowledge of material properties, manufacturing processes, and structural design.
• Proficiency in CAD design using 3D digital product development tools and understanding of GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in a related field.
• Possession or ability to obtain a Secret‑level security clearance.
