Job Description
We are seeking a talented test engineer with a Mechanical or Test Engineering background. As a Test Engineer, you will perform planning, coordination, and execution of component, subsystem, and system level tests as well as other evaluation activities across the program. A strong candidate will possess at least 9 years related experience in engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or related field.
Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and schedule test and evaluation activities to ensure that test requirements and objectives are met per customer and program requirements, and engineering and quality standards.
- Prepare and/or review test plans, test procedures, test readiness reviews, and test reports for functional, environmental, and field tests.
- Support in‑house and field data collection activities, including setup and operation of data acquisition systems, accelerometers, strain gauges, high‑speed cameras, and other test instrumentation.
- Support test activities including product installation, integration, test, data acquisition, and analysis.
- Perform preliminary “quick‑look” analysis and provide post‑test debriefs to engineering teams and customers.
- Coordinate with appropriate program, engineering, and external organizations during test planning, execution, analysis, and reporting phases.
- Must be able to communicate effectively (verbal and written) and have good organizational skills.
- 10–15% travel required.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 9+ years related experience.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge and/or experience using electrical/mechanical test instrumentation is a plus.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a Government Security Clearance;
Active Secret clearance preferred.
