Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to support industrial automation projects involving PLC, DCS, and HMI/SCADA systems. This role will contribute across the full project lifecycle—from system design and programming through commissioning at client facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement control systems for industrial processes and machinery
  • Develop control system architectures and select appropriate hardware components
  • Program PLCs, DCS, and RTUs using Ladder Logic, SFC, Structured Text, etc.
  • Develop and configure HMI/SCADA systems and databases for data archiving and visualization
  • Design control panels and prepare electrical schematics and documentation
  • Support system checkout, commissioning, and client‑site implementation
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and act as a technical contributor or lead based on project scope
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians as needed
  • Support project management activities on smaller projects
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science
  • 5+ years of experience in controls and automation engineering
  • Strong experience with Rockwell Automation PLC platforms
  • Experience with HMI/SCADA systems (Rockwell, Ignition preferred)
  • Experience with DCS platforms such as Emerson DeltaV
  • Knowledge of industrial networking and protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus, OPC, HART, etc.)
  • Familiarity with field instrumentation and process control systems
  • Ability to read and develop electrical schematics, including power distribution up to 480

    VAC
  • Working knowledge of databases (SQL preferred)
Preferred Experience
  • Knowledge of S88 Batch standards
  • Familiarity with life sciences regulations (cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11)
  • Experience with GAMP5, SDLC, and system validation methodologies
  • Strong communication, leadership, and client‑facing skills
Working Conditions
  • Standard office and on‑site industrial environments
  • Frequent computer and technical equipment usage
  • Physical requirements include lifting, climbing, equipment handling, and site mobility
