Facilities Engineer – Site OperationsThe Facilities Operations team at Analog Devices is currently seeking an engineer to support facilities equipment installation, troubleshooting, and project construction for site locations in Wilmington and Chelmsford, MA. This role will be based out of Wilmington, MA. The role requires a skilled engineer, capable of solving mechanical or electrical system capacity and resiliency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Lead and support the design and development of mechanical or electrical systems and components for various facilities‑related projects.
- Project Management:
Lead and support project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure project completed within specifications, on‑time, and within budget. - Technical Documentation:
Prepare and review technical documentation, specifications, reports, and design schematics. - Compliance and Standards:
Ensure all projects comply with relevant safety, regulatory, and ADI Global Engineering standards. Conduct feasibility studies, root cause analysis, and technical assessments. - Collaboration:
Work closely with multidisciplinary engineers and teams to integrate mechanical or electrical systems into larger projects. - Troubleshooting:
Identify and resolve complex technical issues, conducting diagnostics and performance evaluations of mechanical systems. Subject matter expert during root cause analysis activities. - Interact with manufacturing engineers and leaders supporting factory growth and optimization.
- Ensure safe practices are leveraged by contractors and technicians when performing maintenance and repairs.
- Driving sustainable methods for operation to conserve utility resources aligning to ADI’s Global Engineering initiatives.
- BS or MS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and have good skills with MS Office products.
- Must be proficient with AutoCAD.
- Candidate needs to be self‑motivated, safety oriented, have good people skills, be able to multi‑task and enjoy working in a fast‑paced / fluid environment.
- The candidate should be task‑oriented and have attention to detail and value accuracy in design and reports.
- Possess presentation and technical documentation skills.
- Possess organizational skills and contribute to team objectives.
- Must be able to read schematics (mechanical/electrical) and P&IDs.
- Must be able to respond to short notice issues and site emergencies off‑hours and weekends.
- Candidate needs to be thorough and driven to continuously improve systems and processes.
- HVAC Systems:
Chillers/Towers > 900‑ton, steam boilers, process cooling, process vacuum, make‑up air systems > 50k CFM, return air systems/filtration, humidification systems. - Mechanical systems:
Motor and pump service, alignment, lubrication, bearing & seal replacements. - Ultra‑Pure Water manufacturing: RO/DI.
- Life‑safety fire alarm systems:
Wet and dry, NFPA inspections / requirements. - Toxic Gas systems: ACM, TGM, DOD PS‑7 sensors, system integrations, PLC programming and sensor semi‑annual gas challenging.
- Proficiency using volt‑ohm, amperage, loop & process calibrators and source output meters.
- Siemens “Insight/Apogee/Desigo” building operations & programming.
- Rockwell Automation Control Logix.
- WinCC programming and related PLC installation experience.

Compensation for this role is $54,400 to $74,800. Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors. This position qualifies for a discretionary performance‑based bonus which is based on personal and company factors. This position includes medical, vision and dental coverage, 401k, paid vacation, holidays, and sick time, and other benefits.
