Job Summary

The GMP Facilities Director executes the implementation of Critical Environment Cleaning Programs and ensures adherence to quality standard operating procedures regionally. Works with unit-level managers and senior leaders to support and sustain site-specific GMP cleaning requirements. Serves as the Subject Matter Expert for quality cleaning in controlled and regulated spaces. Reports to the Regional Director.

Guided by knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), critical environment cleaning practices and procedures, applicable laws, health, safety and environmental practices, management principles, and Compass policies.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Liaise with external and internal critical environment subject matter experts to promote best practices for the Critical Environment Cleaning program.
  • Establish an audit program to monitor cleaning compliance across the region.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop customized cleaning solutions for quality controlled and regulated spaces.
  • Support customer audits and qualifications where necessary. Supports RCA and CAPA responses related to GMP cleaning nonconformities.
  • Coordinate with Corporate QA on new initiatives in GxP environments.
  • Train new and existing associates on GMP cleaning SOPs and cleanroom behaviors.
  • Incorporate latest best practices from IEST, FDA and other regulatory groups into the Critical Environment Cleaning program as needed.
  • Provide regional support and participate in mobilization of the Critical Environment Cleaning program.
  • Draft Monthly/Quarterly Business Review presentations and establish standardized client-facing materials.
  • Review and evaluate existing critical environmental cleaning programs; make recommendations and guide implementation of new/modified systems and programs.
  • Maintain understanding of company IT systems and use them appropriately.
  • Ensure program compliance with Health, Safety, Security, Environmental protocols and authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Prepare and maintain a variety of company records and reports as required.
  • Perform other duties consistent with the role as requested by the manager.

  • Extensive travel and time away from home up to 70% (essential).
  • Financial experience including managing a P&L and managing fiscal/budgetary responsibilities.
  • Effective written and oral communication; ability to multitask and establish priorities.
  • Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment; exhibits initiative and leadership.
  • Analytical acuity; knowledge of contract administration and office procedures.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and manuals; ability to present information to groups.
