Warehouse Team Lead Manager

Overview

Ryder is immediately hiring a Warehouse Night Shift Team Lead in Wilmington, Illinois

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
• Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize daily work duties to team members to ensure optimal shift operations.
• Inspire and guide team members toward improved KPI performance using appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Provide orientation and the necessary information, technology, and tools to enable employees to perform their jobs.
• Promote health and safety practices within the warehouse.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations and service levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred
• One year or more experience as a Team Lead preferred
• One year or more Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) preferred
• One year or more warehouse experience preferred
• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner required
• Valid forklift operator's license certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Effective leadership skills
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Excellent organizational skills
• Proactively approaches responsibilities
• Maintains composure under pressure
• Knowledge of health and safety practices
