Job DescriptionResponsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of commercial/residential HVAC systems utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, pneumatic and electronic control systems, pipe fitting, welding and brazing and mechanical layouts.
- Uses a variety of hand tools, following blueprints, wiring and piping diagrams, or engineering specifications, to install, diagnose and repair units.
- Operates refrigerant recovery equipment, vacuum pumps, charging equipment and service gauges.
- Possess excellent troubleshooting skills to component level.
- Inspects system to verify system compliance with plans and specifications.
- Completion of routine maintenance and operation of HVAC systems and any other related equipment, which contributes to the safe and effective operation of facilities.
- Maintain quality of work, performance and productivity standards.
- Performs repairs, overhauls, and start‑ups of commercial HVAC systems.
- Records temperature, pressure, and other readings on log sheet at specified intervals.
- Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files. Keeps current all manufacturers' products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
- May be required to work varying schedules and shifts to reflect the business needs of the Company.
- Knowledge of VAV/VVT HVAC systems experience preferred.
- Building controls – ATC Temperature Electronic and Pneumatic controls.
- Associate's Degree or Trade School diploma and education related to the position is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relative HVAC/R maintenance and mechanical experience.
- Factory trained technical service school certificates (preferred).
- Universal Recovery Certification is required.
- Knowledge of BAS controls systems is preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver's license in good standing.
