What will I do?
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
The physical demands of this work are classified as medium. It includes walking, standing for up to 4 hours without a break, repetitive hand and arm movements, occasional heavy lifting, bending, reaching (including lifting above shoulder height), and continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced environment. Items lifted typically weigh between 15-40 pounds, with occasional lifts over 50 pounds.
Assistance may be available for heavy items. The work involves moderate upper extremity repetition and trunk movement, including twisting, bending, and pivoting. You may be exposed to allergens and cold temperatures (33-55°F). Basic tools and equipment used include box cutters, utility carts, scales, meat knives, and band saws.
Qualifications:
- Experience with or knowledge of different cuts of meat and poultry.
- Customer service experience, preferably in food service, grocery, or retail settings.
