Registered Nurse - Emergency Room - PRN

Description

Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join the team in our Emergency Department.

Part time, Rotating Shift, PRN per department needs (7:00 am – 7:30 pm and 7:30 pm–7:30 am) / weekend and holiday requirements.

Serving Wilmington community and Northern New Castle County, the Emergency Department at Saint Francis Hospital is a Level III Trauma, 27‑bed unit. We care for various types of patients and are the first and only Geriatric certified Emergency Department in Delaware.

• Adheres to hospital nursing practice standards, demonstrates appropriate assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Assists emergent patients and documents accordingly on the Emergency Room nursing tool.
• Identifies patient needs based on objective data and follows through with appropriate documentation.
• Implements appropriate nursing actions for each identified patient.
• Makes decisions reflecting knowledge of facts and sound judgment.
• Discusses and includes patient and/or family significant others about planned patient care, expected outcomes, and documents the same.
• Identifies and utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to facilitate delivery of patient care.

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; BSN highly preferred.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Delaware.
• Previous ER and/or Acute Care experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required; must obtain PALS within 6 months of employment.
