Specialty Nurse, Orthopedics (Finance)
Nemours is seeking a Specialty Nurse, Orthopedics, to join our Nemours Children's Health team in Wilmington, DE. The Orthopedic Specialty Nurse is responsible for an area of specialized nursing practice and will be responsible for partnering with the providers and other interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care through participation in activities such as phone triage, scheduling questions, insurance authorization, letters, and communicating with families through Nemours portal messages.
Additionally, the Orthopedic Specialty Nurse will participate in patient and family education, in clinic or via phone, regarding common Orthopedic diagnoses and surgeries. The specialty nurse will utilize the nursing process as a basis for providing and evaluating nursing care. Candidates should have excellent time management skills, be a proactive worker, work well in a team environment, and possess the desire to engage in rheumatology patient care.
