About the Role

Vital Core Health Strategies (VCHS), a leader in correctional health care, is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Plummer Community Corrections Center in Wilmington, DE. The position is PRN, 16 hours per week.

• Deliver quality patient care within the scope of licensed practice.
• Administer medications, monitor patient response, and record vital signs.
• Maintain accurate, detailed clinical reports and documentation.
• Coordinate with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Supervise or direct less-skilled nursing personnel as appropriate.
• Provide patient education on health promotion, disease prevention, and health improvement programs.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient condition.
• Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure supplies are stocked.
• Modify treatment plans in response to patient condition changes.
• Assist with patient examinations and treatments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the facility.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Registered Nurse license in the state of employment.
• Active CPR certification.
• Knowledge of state laws governing nursing practice.
• Completion of initial and annual clinical competencies.

• Weekday (Mon-Fri) – $4.25
• Weekend (Sat/Sun) – $5.75
• 3 p‑11 pm – $3.50
• 11 pm – 7:30 a – $4.50
• Day – $6.00
• Evening – $6.00
• Night – $6.00

16 hours per week, PRN. Availability to commit to at least 3‑6 weeks of on‑site training and orientation.

Pay range: $39.00/hr – $40.00/hr pay differential: $4.25 – $6.00.
