Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our ICU.
Schedule:
Part‑time, Day Shift (7:00 am – 7:30 pm) / Every third weekend and rotating holidays. Serving Wilmington community and Northern New Castle County, the Intensive Care Unit is a 10‑bed unit caring for patients with conditions such as cardiac arrest, DKA, vascular events, sepsis, overdoses, and renal failure (CRRT). We provide continuing education, monthly Education Forums with our intensivist, and a strong focus on work‑life balance.
- Adhere to hospital nursing practice standards, assess, plan, implement, evaluate patient care.
- Complete a Nursing Assessment form on each patient within 24 hours.
- Identify patient needs based on objective data and document appropriately.
- Implement appropriate nursing actions for each patient identified.
- Make decisions reflecting knowledge and sound judgment.
- Discuss planned care and expected outcomes with patients/families and document.
- Utilize a multidisciplinary approach to facilitate delivery of patient care.
- Document follow‑up care/activities in preparation for transfer/discharge.
- Evaluate the patient’s or significant other’s understanding of instructions.
- Provide written instructions and materials to patients and families.
- Current RN licensure in Delaware or a valid temporary permit.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
- Previous critical‑care nursing experience required.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
