Operator II

Ashland Specialty Ingredients (GP) is looking for a Chemical Operator to join our Specialty Ingredients G.P Business in Wilmington, DE. This position reports to the Plant Manager.

• Maintain compliance with all health, safety, environmental procedures and guidelines
• Receive materials into the limited access warehouse (LAW) per the appropriate procedures
• Prepare for production, raw material, staging and weighing
• Perform manufacturing duties per the associated work instruction including set‑up, operation and cleaning of manufacturing equipment
• Perform SAP transactions as required
• Package final product and prepare shipments
• Complete all GMP documentation
• Perform general housekeeping in the GMP production area

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Willing to work rotating shifts, holidays and overtime as required; this is a rotating shift position
• Demonstrates good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Ability to lift 55 lbs on a regular basis
• High level of mechanical aptitude
• Ability to clearly record observations in written form
• Ability to follow and complete written directions
• Must be able to work around strong magnets

• GMP or Chemical Manufacturing experience
• Forklift experience
• General computer experience
