Citi Mortgage, Inc. seeks an Operational Risk Officer for its Wilmington, DE location.
DUTIES- Create lasting solutions for minimizing failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.
- Lead the overall MIS effort for the Mortgage Default Servicing Control Department.
- Assess risks and drive actions to address root causes that persistently lead to operational risk losses by challenging both historical and proposed practices.
- Provide governance and oversight related to operational risk and serve as a subject matter expert for issues management including Key Performance Indicators, Key Risk Indicators, and Corrective Action Plans.
- Resolve transactional level escalations coming from vendors and internal partners.
- Analyze scorecards and performance management tools to mitigate risk, financial, and regulatory exposure.
- Monitor goals and ensure they are met by providing performance, risk, and relationship oversight of Citi’s extended supply chain.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve issues.
- Develop and maintain relationships across business users and Lines of Defense to better understand and deliver customer requirements by responding to changes in the internal and external business environment.
- Possibly work a telecommuting/hybrid schedule within commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
- Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Six (6) years of experience in the job offered or in a related IT occupation assessing and resolving risk‑related issues.
- Experience must include:
- Working with SAS and SQL coding to generate reports.
- Analyzing extracted data and developing analytical reports using SAS.
- Reading and writing SAS macros for complex and repetitive tasks to achieve MIS production efficiency and accuracy.
- Working with various kinds of databases and Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).
- Handling mortgage and risk management for financial institutions.
