Job Summary

The Architect role involves designing and implementing robust data solutions using Snowflake, Python, Databricks SQL and PySpark. With a focus on optimizing workflows and ensuring seamless data integration the candidate will contribute to enhancing data-driven decision-making processes. This hybrid position requires a deep understanding of data architecture and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

• Design and implement scalable data architectures using Python and Databricks SQL to support business intelligence initiatives.
• Develop and optimize Databricks workflows to ensure efficient data processing and integration across various platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for data solutions.
• Provide technical expertise in PySpark to enhance data processing capabilities and improve performance metrics.
• Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing robust validation and monitoring processes within the architecture.
• Oversee the deployment and maintenance of data solutions ensuring minimal downtime and maximum reliability.
• Conduct regular assessments of existing data systems to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary upgrades.
• Lead efforts to automate data workflows reducing manual intervention and increasing operational efficiency.
• Mentor junior team members providing guidance and support in developing their technical skills and understanding of data architecture.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the companys data solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between data architecture and business objectives driving impactful outcomes.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to promote best practices and innovative solutions within the team.
• Contribute to the company’s purpose by enabling data-driven insights that enhance decision-making and societal impact.

Hybrid

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 4 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Buffalo, NY or Wilmington, DE. • Demonstrate proficiency in Python programming for data manipulation and analysis.
• Showcase expertise in Databricks SQL for creating and managing complex queries and data models.
• Exhibit experience in developing and optimizing Databricks workflows for seamless data integration.
• Possess strong knowledge of PySpark for efficient data processing and transformation.
• Have a solid understanding of data architecture principles and best practices.
• Display excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid work model.
• Hold a minimum of 10 years of experience in data architecture and related fields.

The annual salary for this position is between $100,000- $135,000 USD depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
