- Windows & VMware Administration
- Windows clusters and other OS configuration expertise
- Proven troubleshooting/critical thinking skills
- VMware Infrastructure Knowledge
- VMware Clustering
- Hardware knowledge
- iDRAC/ILO Administration
- Scripting (Power Shell, as example)
- Automations (Server remediation, as example)
- Basic networking knowledge
- Hands on experience on Service Now and ITIL processes
- Experience in vCenter migration
Good To Have
- Backup & Storage Administration (VEEAM)
- Database Administration (Oracle & SQL Server)
- Net App administration
- Collaborate with Site IT and configure hardware management consoles for storage, SAN switches and servers (iDRAC/iLO/IMM).
- Install and configure VMware ESXi hypervisor OS.
- Connect with vCenter and create cluster configuration.
- Configure vSwitches and data stores; deploy server VMs and perform server hardening per established standards and procedures.
- Configure backups at VM, File or Microsoft SQL database layer.
- Assist with site cutover activities.
- Re-IP Compute devices as needed.
- Follow the migration documentation/playbook and established device roll procedures.
- Configure Dell ESXi servers and virtualization.
- Help with troubleshooting.
- Onboard assets in CE CMDB (e.g., Service Now).
- Relevant meeting participation.
- Turnover the assets.
