Senior Database Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Database Engineer to support our Information Technology team.

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Database Engineer with a strong background in Snowflake, Microsoft SQL Server, and AWS. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines, warehouses, and integrations in support of building a new enterprise data platform.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Snowflake, T-SQL, and SSIS.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views for data transformation and analytics.
• Implement and manage Snowflake features including SnowSQL, Snow Pipe, Streams, Tasks, and Time Travel.
• Build and manage data models and data warehouses in both Snowflake and Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Ensure data integrity, performance, and security across data environments.
• Work within AWS services (EC2, S3, etc.) to support our cloud native data infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance and reliability issues.
• Develop best practices for data management, governance, and automation.
• Stay current with emerging data technologies, particularly within Snowflake and AWS ecosystems.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related experience.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in data engineering or database development roles.
• Strong expertise in Snowflake including SnowSQL, Snow Pipe, Streams, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning in MS SQL Server.
• Experience developing and maintaining ETL workflows using SSIS or similar tools.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, Dynamo
  
  DB, etc.) for data solutions.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data lake architectures.
• Experience with version control Azure Dev Ops and CI/CD for data pipelines is a plus.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities across technical and non‑technical teams.
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages for data processing or automation.
• Knowledge of data governance, cataloging, and lineage tools.
• Familiarity with Dev Ops and infrastructure‑as‑code practices (Terraform, Cloud Formation).
• Exposure to BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Proficiency in MySQL and Postgre
  
  SQL is preferred.
