Data Engineer
Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Wilmington, DE / Plano, TX
. This position requires hands-on experience with Apache Spark and AWS services while developing robust data pipelines and implementing data models that support large-scale analytics.
Rate Range: $56/hour to $60/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
- Designing and developing scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Apache Spark with Java, integrating data from diverse sources into AWS data lakes and warehouses.
- Leveraging AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, EMR, Lambda, Kinesis, and Dynamo
DB for data processing, storage, and analytics. - Optimizing Spark applications and AWS data workflows for performance, cost efficiency, and reliability.
- Designing and implementing data models for structured and unstructured data while contributing to overall data architecture strategy.
- Collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions aligned with business needs.
- Implementing monitoring, troubleshooting, security, and governance practices to ensure data quality and system stability.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of experience in data engineering, big data technologies, and AWS-based data solutions.
- Deep hands-on expertise in Java and Apache Spark for developing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Extensive experience working with AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, EMR, Lambda, Kinesis, and Dynamo

Pay Details: $56.00 to $60.00 per hour
