Operations Coordinator I – School Based Health Centers

Christiana Care’s School Based Health Center is hiring a full‑time Operations Coordinator I to support program operations for multiple locations. The role involves strategic planning, expansion, and mentorship of office staff.

Base Pay Range

$21.03/hr – $31.54/hr

Work Schedule
  • Monday–Friday:
    Day shift
  • No weekends or holidays
  • Hybrid opportunities may be available; remote options are subject to change and departmental needs.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Site Managers to ensure adequate coverage during staff shortages.
  • Fill in as a medical assistant when needed to support clinical care, including rooming patients, taking vital signs, POCT, injections, medication administration, assisting with exams, chart preparation, and treatment room setup.
  • Participate in implementation and evaluation of services and integrate SBHCs into Christiana Care operations.
  • Support existing SBHCs to ensure uninterrupted workflow and revenue cycle compliance.
  • Assist in onboarding new non‑provider caregivers through interviews, orientation, and training.
  • Lead and participate in educational initiatives and special projects.
  • Complete annual Medical Assistant competency testing.
  • Oversee supply ordering, inventory management, invoice, and expense tracking.
  • Provide support for SBHC providers and medical office assistants.
  • Review and update department processes to maintain high patient‑centered care standards.
  • Collaborate with Community Health Impact programs, medical group practices, and community partners.
  • Perform clerical/reporting duties as assigned and other related functions as needed.

Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent; graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program or current Medical Assistant certification by an accredited organization (NCCA or ANSI).
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; health program experience may substitute.
  • Three years of healthcare experience and three years as a Medical Assistant required.
  • Knowledge of community health preferred.
  • Experience supporting multiple practices preferred.
