Medical Assistant , Family Medicine Center at Wilmington

Overview

Christiana Care Family Medicine Center at Wilmington is looking for a Medical Assistant I. The center offers primary care services enhanced by an on-site pharmacy, diagnostic testing, social services, and wellness and educational programs.

Family Medicine Center at Wilmington is located at 501 W. 14th Street in Wilmington, Delaware. The center is one of two locations for an academic family medicine practice.

• Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm
• Friday from 9am to 5:30pm

The Medical Assistant I role includes greeting and assisting patients, rooming patients, taking and recording vital signs, point of care testing, administering injections and medications, conducting EKGs, preparing treatment rooms, completing patient-specific paperwork, managing prior authorizations, referrals, medication refills, scheduling tests and surgeries, and performing quality control on point of care testing equipment.

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

• You must possess excellent attention to detail, dependability, excellent communication skills, integrity, and technical skills.
