Christiana Care Primary Care at Darley Green is seeking a Medical Assistant I to support physicians and nurse practitioners in delivering high‑quality care to newborns, children, and adults. The facility holds Patient‑Centered Medical Home certification from the National Committee for Quality Assurance.

• Monday 7am – 3pm
• Tuesday 7am – 7pm
• Wednesday 7am – 2pm
• Thursday 7am – 1pm
• Friday 7am – 4pm

• Assist physicians during patient examinations via virtual or on‑site appointments.
• Greet patients, room them, record vital signs, and prepare them for visits.
• Perform point‑of‑care testing, administer injections and medications, and conduct EKGs as needed.
• Support clinicians during examinations and procedures by preparing treatment rooms, completing paperwork, and updating EMR with test results.
• Handle patient callbacks, follow state guidelines for sterilization of equipment, and manage prior authorizations, referrals, and medication refills.
• Schedule tests, surgeries, and perform quality control on point‑of‑care testing equipment.
• Offer documentation assistance during provider examinations and procedures, undertake clerical tasks, troubleshoot video visit issues, and help patients use Christiana Care’s Patient Portal.
• Work safely, adhere to or violations that could harm patients, staff, or visitors.

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by NCCA or ANSI.

• Excellent attention to detail, dependability, communication skills, integrity, and technical skills.

Hourly pay range: $19.10 – $27.69. Pay is based on skills, experience, and qualifications relevant to specific job requirements.
