The Unit Clerk will maintain medical records on the units, schedule transports & assist the nursing staff with all clerical duties.
Duties and Responsibilities- Greet, direct, and assist visitors to resident rooms, office areas, etc.
- Retrieve medical record information upon request by authorized individuals.
- Record appropriate resident identification data in designated medical records.
- Keep nursing staff informed of resident scheduled appointments.
- Scan and file admission papers and all diagnostic reports into the medical record.
- Schedule resident follow‑up appointments and arrange transportation for diagnostic and therapeutic services.
- Must possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior work with elders in a community or long‑term care setting is preferred.
- Must possess excellent computer skills.
