As a Senior Associate within Consumer and Community Banking Risk Cards Strategic Analytics, you will build, modify, and maintain data quality and strategy execution controls to ensure production results adhere to regulatory requirements and meet expectations. You will generate analytics and recommendations for strategy development, implementation, and ongoing controls. You will have opportunities to report findings, provide status updates to management, and coordinate information for audits and internal reviews.
Your work will help strengthen controls, improve operational efficiencies, and enhance the customer experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage business risks and develop recommendations to strengthen internal controls and improve operational efficiencies
- Manage critical issues with escalation protocols to resolve production issues
- Build data quality reports to ensure the data used in Card Risk Strategies is as expected
- Build and enhance control reports to ensure Card Risk Strategies are executing as expected
- Monitor Card Risk Strategy execution to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to research exceptions
- Partner with strategy leads in drafting data requirements for new initiatives
- Summarize findings and package to present to management
- Provide testing support from a data and analytical perspective to remediate customer-facing issues
- Acquire deep understanding of operational processes, key performance metrics, and profitability drivers to deliver insights across the account lifecycle (underwriting, portfolio management, collections)
- Identify, evaluate, interpret, and leverage complex internal and external data to develop analytical solutions that enhance risk strategies
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research, Mathematics, or equivalent quantitative field
- Strong SAS, R, Python, and SQL programming skills; advanced Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills
- 3+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Consulting, Data Analytics, Risk Strategy, or related Financial Analysis
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to clearly present analytical findings, make business recommendations, and prepare executive-level communications
- High degree of initiative, self-direction, and project management skills to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
- Proven ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships
- Intellectual curiosity and attention to detail with a proven ability to learn quickly
