$500M services organization looking to hire a Payroll Specialist. The ideal candidate has large company payroll processing experience, as well as tax filing and industry experience (construction, manufacturing, professional services).
*** 100% onsite
- Reconcile and prepare payroll tax withholding returns and payments.
- File quarterly withholding, federal, and unemployment tax returns.
- Support the Payroll Manager by investigating tax notices received from tax authorities.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Upload weekly payroll for processing, ensuring accuracy.
- Process weekly payrolls for 18 branch locations
- Reconcile and prepare monthly and weekly union report remittances.
- Enter new hire information, update terminations and furloughs as needed.
- Administer weekly 401k with holdings.
- Compile and submit monthly payroll data
- Bachelors degree in Accounting and/or Finance
