Press Box Gameday

Position: Press Box Gameday Staff
The Press Box Gameday Staff role works one of our handful of roles on gameday within our press box necessary to run an effective ballgame. These roles are vital for fans in the ballpark, control room broadcast operations and MLB operations. The ideal candidate loves the sport of baseball and is comfortable working in a fast-paced and loud environment. You will work alongside other Press Box Staff members under our Director of Creative & Web Services.

Press Box Staff Roles:

• Stringer - This individual scores the baseball game live and digitally using proprietary MLB software. This role is contingent on passing a MLB-provided test regarding baseball proficiency for approval.
• Scoreboard Operator - This role controls our Daktronic scoreboard to input real-time game data on our scoreboard (runs, hits, outs, balls, strikes, inning) during the game.
• Field Timing Coordinator - This individual works in conjunction with the on-field umpiring crew to operate the pitch clock during the game.

This is a freelance role that is paid on a flat rate per game, based on the role you are assigned for a particular game. You will be asked to fill out an availability form on a month-to-month basis to determine scheduling for the upcoming month's slate of game. Deadlines to submit your availability form will be communicated to you in advance of a schedule being posted.
