This position offers an opportunity to support students across various grade levels, ranging from Kindergarten through 12th grade, in a school setting located in Wilmington, DE. The role is contract-based and focuses on assisting students with diverse needs to enhance their educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students in grades K-5, 6-8, or 9-12 as assigned.
• Assist students with moderate to severe behaviors, medical needs, or emotional disabilities.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Support classroom management and foster a positive learning environment.
• Monitor and assist with students daily activities and academic tasks.

Qualifications:

• Paraprofessional certification is preferred but not required.
• Experience working with students who have moderate to severe behavioral, medical, or emotional challenges is preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with teachers, students, and staff.
• Strong organizational skills and patience.

Compensation:

• Pay ranges from $20 to $25 per hour, based on location within the area and individual experience.
